Can you spot the template bloopers?

What’s wrong with this edited template?

Blooper - Get A Proposal

*This is a screengrab of an actual live (published online on a website) marketing card I spotted in June of 2023.

1. Incorrectly Editing the Template

As you can see from the red underline; this template wasn’t correctly edited as the company name has not been inserted. This particular template blooper has been live as an online sales conversion card on their website since I first came across it in June of 2023 and they have yet to spot it themselves. Always remember to do scheduled site audits and reviews on your entire website every few months.

2. Inconclusive Offering

The template blooper here is that the business utilizing this card hasn’t really specified “what” is it they do to solve their clients social media marketing issues. Their sentence just runs “Here are some of the problems we excel at solving…” and then immediately drops off to the call to action “Get A Proposal”. So, what are they saying they do before requesting the user contacts them for a proposal? Your answer is as good as mine.

3. Confusing to Read

The whole card itself is difficult to read as one entity. Can you really read it easily? The readability score (important for good SEO rankings) is very low as it’s confusing to read. The main title text should read “Problems We Excel At Solving Solve With Our Social Media Ads Services“. This simple edit makes it much easier to read and understand.

4. Incorrect Use of the Call to Action

The whole card itself needs re-editing but especially the call to action (CTA) “Get A Proposal” and how it’s situated. Relating back to point #2 the last line of descriptive text jumps dumps you onto the CTA without explaining how they actually fix your pain-points and problems. It’s incorrectly placed and confuses the user as a result. The business offering this service needs to place a few bullet points with messaging on how they solve issues before asking for an action that drops them into requesting a proposal. If you don’t understand the messaging and the flow, why would you buy the service in the first place?

As a point of interest on these template bloopers, The Creative Ninja isn’t attempting to scare you away from utilizing templates for any purpose you may have for them. If you choose to use them, just be wary of properly using them and editing them properly to make sense to your audience so your messaging doesn’t get jumbled up prior to making them live. Always remember to do regular site audits to make sure your previous messaging matches with any new services or to add in links between pages or posts that are related to one another since you’ve initially created them.
